Lisa's travel report... – Birmingham - Dubai 1320/0015, Emirates Flight
Economy - Excellent service throughout, a huge choice of movies to watch, new realises and Disney Films for children along with the children’s games to keep every body entertained. Generous leg room and complimentary drinks through out the flight.
The transfer from Dubai airport to the Atlantis was approx 20 minutes, this can take over an hour plus with the heavy traffic during busy periods. Excellent time to land.
Breakfast was hosted daily at the Kaleidoscope, this a buffet family restaurant and has breakfasts from around the world. A huge choice of English, Mediterranean, traditional Arabic and Chinese and Curry was available.
We then had free time to explore the Aquaventure and the Lost chambers:
Aquaventure – The middle east’s biggest water park. There are water rapids and
slides where you can slide through shark infested lagoons.
You can also swim with the Dolphins, an amazing experience for all of the
family. You can play ball games with the dolphins and get to swim with them.
Every body staying at the Atlantis is entitled to unlimited access to
Aquaventure. It also has its own beach.
Lost Chambers – this is a maze of underwater halls and tunnels and lagoons. There is a open air marine where there are sharks, whales, sting rays and piranhas. You can watch the sharks and other fish been fed.
There are snack bars and restaurants at Aquaventure – Shark bites is a very nice restaurant where there is indoor and outdoor dining, delicious food including a local foods been cooked on the Barbaeque
Dinner was hosted at the Ronda Locatelli, created by celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli, a sophisticated restaurant with Italian Cuisine, huge menu offering, pastas, pizza and fresh breads.
Dune Safari Dinner – 4 wheel drive in to the heart of the desert, watch a amazing sunset and a chance to do a camel ride. Excellent traditional food, entertainment is belly dancers and local music.
Dinner also was at the Nasimi Terrace, which is just off the beach, here there is a huge selection of bbq meets, lots of fish dishes, and the lobster is delicious!
Over all The Atlantis, is a fantastic hotel. The hotel is huge but never seems to be that busy as there are so many places to sunbathe and relax. This is the place for children with unlimited access to the Aquaventure and the Lost Chambers. There are also kids clubs available.
The beaches are fantastic with white sands and clear blue water.
The rooms are very spacious and most rooms are interconnecting for bigger families. The leading room is the deluxe room and are more than comfortable, with everything you should need. The bathrooms are huge!! Each room has a fantastic view. From the front of the hotel you have a beach and sea view and can even see the Burj Al Arab from your balcony and city views.
Jumeirah beach is approx 10 minutes away and the city 15 minutes so you can easily get to other resorts.

All hotels are amazing, the standards are fantastic and even though they are big
hotels and have full occupancy it appears to be relaxed and quiet as there are
so many private places for couples and families to enjoy.
- Residence and spa - A intimate hotel, very traditional with Arabic features throughout. This hotel belongs to the “leading small hotels of the world”
- Arabian Court - This is a very Lavish and grand Hotel with intimate court yards. Rooms are very spacious and are all sea facing. This is a romantic hotel.
- The Palace - This is both traditional and contempary, again this a very romantic hotel.
On the return we were upgraded to business class which was fantastic, lots of leg room and a choice of dining from the menu.
