This is a comprehensive itinerary incorporating all the areas of Argentina that we cover.
BUENOS AIRES 3 NIGHTS • IGUAZU FALLS 2 NIGHTS • SALTA 3 NIGHTS • TIERRA DEL FUEGO 3 NIGHTS • CALAFATE 3 NIGHTS • BARILOCHE 4 NIGHTS • PENINSULA VALDES 3 NIGHTS • SAN ANTONIO DE ARECO 1 NIGHT
Day 1: On arrival in Argentina, transfer to Hotel Claridge.Remainder of day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Claridge.
Day 2:After breakfast, private guided half day tour of Buenos Aires. Afternoon at leisure. Early evening transfer to a typical ‘Dinner Tango Show’ (included). Transfer to Hotel Claridge for overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast, transfer to domestic airport for flight to Iguazu. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel Sheraton. Afternoon at leisure to explore the Argentine side of the falls on foot from the hotel and also Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). Overnight at Hotel Sheraton (Falls View room).
Day 4: After breakfast, transfer to, and private guided tour of, the Brazilian side of the Falls. Lunch at a traditional restaurant included. Afternoon boat trip on the Brazilian side. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel Sheraton (Falls View room).
Day 5: After breakfast, transfer to Iguazu airport for flight to Salta via Buenos Aires. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel Solar de la Plaza for overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast ‘Las Nubes’ (the clouds) full day train tour is included in the itinerary (April to October only). Enjoy the scenery as you ride over bridges and through tunnels, zigzagging your way up the mountains. Overnight at Hotel Solar de la Plaza.
Day 7: After breakfast, a full day group excursion to the Humahuaca Valley. Visit the ‘Cerro de Siete Colores’ (a hill with seven coloured layers of stone), the village of Purmamarca and the town of Humahuaca. In the evening, enjoy dinner in Salta at Vieja Estacion accompanied by a Folklore Show (included). Overnight at Hotel Solar de la Plaza.
Day 8: After breakfast, transfer to Salta airport for flight to Ushuaia via Buenos Aires. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel Tolkeyen for overnight. Day 9: After breakfast, a full day group excursion to lakes Escondido and Fagnano. Overnight at Hotel Tolkeyen.
Day 10: After breakfast, full day group excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park. A ride on the ‘World’s End’ steam train, and boat trip through the Beagle Channel to view the wildlife. Overnight at Hotel Tolkeyen.
Day 11: After breakfast, transfer to Ushuaia airport for flight to Calafate.Upon arrival transfer to Hotel Kosten Aike for overnight.
Day 12: After breakfast, full day group excursion to Perito Moreno glacier. Opportunity to take a cruise on Lake Argentina to see the glacier close up (subject to weather). Overnight at Hotel Kosten Aike.
Day 13: Day at leisure to explore Calafate or take an optional full day excursion to Upsala Glacier
(not included).Overnight at Hotel Kosten Aike.
Day 14: After breakfast, transfer to Calafate airport for flight to Bariloche. Upon arrival transfer to Llao Llao. Remainder of day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Tunquelen.
Day 15:Morning at leisure to visit San Carlos de Bariloche. Transfer to harbour in Llao Llao for boat to Isla Victoria (approx 40 mins). Arrive at Hosteria Isla Victoria.Afternoon to relax or to enjoy some of the activities available. Overnight at Hosteria Isla Victoria (full board basis).
Day 16: Day at leisure to relax, explore the island on a guided walk, go canoeing, mountain biking or horse riding. Overnight at Hosteria Isla Victoria (full board basis).
Day 17: After breakfast, transfer by boat back to Llao Llao and onward transfer to Hotel Tunquelen. Afternoon half day group excursion of the surrounding area taking in Lake Moreno Oeste, Punto Panorámico and Puerto Pañuelo in a circular tour. Overnight at Hotel Tunquelen.
Day 18: After breakfast, transfer to Bariloche airport for flight to Trelew via Buenos Aires. Upon arrival transfer to Puerto Madryn. Overnight at Hotel Peninsula Valdes.
Day 19: Full day group excursion to Peninsula Valdes, including a whale watching boat trip (June to November only).Overnight at Hotel Peninsula Valdes.
Day 20: After breakfast, a full day group excursion to Punta Tombo and Rawson Port. Visit to the penguin colony (mid September to end March) followed by Rawson Port to see the golden dolphins. Overnight at Hotel Peninsula Valdes.
Day 21: After breakfast, transfer to Trelew airport for flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival transfer to San Antonio de Areco. Remainder of day to relax at the estancia. Overnight at El Ombu de Areco.
Day 22: Day at leisure to enjoy horseriding or a carriage ride before late afternoon transfer to international airport for return flight.
