The
modern 220 room Loftleidir is an Icelandair Hotel and therefore a name you can
trust to provide comfort and quality service. Located in a peaceful setting
about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, the Loftleidir is close to one of
Reykjavik’s landmarks – the Perlan. But if you prefer not to walk, a free
shuttle bus takes you from the hotel to the city centre or nearby Kringlan
shopping mall.
All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, hair dryer, tea and coffee
making facilities, mini-bar, trouser press, satellite TV, radio and telephone.
There is a wide choice of rooms, from standard through to deluxe, suites and a
number of colourful Poets rooms – individually styled and particularly homely
with the addition of, amongst other things, a leather armchair. Rooms for
disabled guests are also available.
The Lon Restaurant serves an excellent lunch and dinner buffet which includes a
large selection of delicious hors d’oeuvres, entrees and desserts. The Lon Bar
is an ideal place to relax after a good meal.
The hotel Loftleidir is the only hotel in Reykjavik that has its own indoor
swimming pool open for guests. It also has a fitness centre with a sauna and
solarium (additional charges apply). A small boutique and bank complete the
hotel’s amenities.
