Highlights: • Hellenistic Cyrene & Apollonia • Roman Sabratha & Leptis Magna
Summary...
Trade through Libya’s ports funded grand
civic buildings, theatres and ornate villas that were the envy of the ancient
world. This tour visits the magnificent remains of these ancient cities and
combines the superbly preserved Roman cities in the west
with the impressive
Hellenistic remains of Cyrenaica in the east.

* Libya is a developing country in terms of tourism, and a flexible attitude is
required to enjoy travelling in the country. Our supplier uses the best
available accommodation in Libya. However, outside Tripoli the standard should
be considered basic. The tour involves walking over rough terrain. Internal
flights in Libya can be prone to delays, which are beyond our control. We do
feel, however, that the wonders of Libya more than make up for any occasional
deficiencies.
Meal Basis: (B) = Breakfast, (L) = Lunch, (D) = Dinner, (N) = No Meals
Independent Tour: In addition to the
Escorted Group departures, this itinerary may be taken at any time as an
