Perched on the cliff top facing south, the hotel is some 20 minutes’ stroll to the city centre, with complimentary shuttle service 6 times daily. The Cliff Bay has direct views over the sea and the bay, and offers high standards of service with an enormous range of facilities for the discerning guest.
The emphasis at Cliff Bay is on activities and sports for the whole family, but relaxation is here too!

The 188 guest rooms and 12 suites are spacious and beautifully furnished and have a marble bathroom with a separate shower and a hairdryer. Each room offers cable TV with daily video programme, air conditioning, tea/coffee making, mini-bar, safe and private balcony. Inland rooms overlook the guest car park and local houses. Side seaviews have a wall that can be seen over when standing or Seaviews have the best view and railings.
Sporting facilities are superb including golf at the Palheiro course, private diving centre “Golfinho’s”, PADI qualified, big game fishing, tennis, billiards, table tennis and walking tours are amongst other energetic pursuits on offer. Of course there are two pools (one partially inside and heated, the other with sea water) and direct sea access. Free internet access is available in reception.
Youngsters have an unsupervised playroom and special children’s meals are available. Babysitting service is pre-bookable and payable locally enabling parents to have a relaxed dinner.
The “inner guest” is well catered for with a choice of four bars and three restaurants including Il Gallo D’Oro (jacket and tie), excellent à la carte dining, or the room service menu. The Cliff Bay is a Porto Bay Hotels & Resorts Member.
