The opportunity to visit Tanzania , a country which has always fascinated me, was just too good to miss. The chance to see Mount Kiliminjaro , the vast plains of the Serengeti and the World Heritage Site of the Ngorongoro Crater were high on my agenda.
Did the country live up to my expectations ? Without doubt ! It is even more amazing than I had expected. The visit started with a glimpse of Kilimanjaro, snow- capped and often wreathed in cloud it rises majestically from the vast African plains, our stay at a Tree Lodge at Lake Manyara was followed by a stay at the truly stunning Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and then a night under canvas in the Serengeti. Our final night was at Klein’s Camp, a small elegant safari lodge deep in the heart of Masai Territory
Stunning luxurious accommodation in some of Africa’s most exclusive lodges. As for the animals, the country is teeming with wildlife and it was fantastic seeing the ‘Big Five’ in their natural environment. So many highlights but for me my favourite was seeing the annual migration of countless wilderbeest crossing the Serengeti, a truly spectacular site .
Wonderful scenery, amazing animal viewing and superb accommodation makes this one of the best safari countries in Africa.
