Overview
The largest and best known of the
Mare Nostrum Resort Hotels, the Mediterranean Palace is built in a tiered
half-moon, around the spectacular pool area. Separated from the sea only by its
much smaller sister hotel, the
Sir Anthony.
Relaxation The magnificent pool area, reached by a sweeping staircase, is
the day-time focal point, with plants and shrubs adding colour. Sun loungers,
parasols and towels provided. The impressive interior has a cool lounge and many
quiet corners to talk and read.
Special Features Hairdresser and beauty salon. Boutique. 'Adam and Eve'
naturist terrace and pool.
Accommodation 535 rooms and suites. All have bath, shower, hairdryer,
minibar, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, air conditioning and
balcony/terrace. Suites also available, 12 only also having a private plunge
pool on a large solarium/terrace. Pool view rooms/suites are on the sea side of
the hotel and most do have a view of the sea. 24-hour room service.

Described below are the overall facilities and features of the resort.
Location At the southern end of Playa de las Americas, adjacent to the
promenade, which stretches round the bay to Los Cristianos, and the recently
extended beach. Close by is an excellent shopping centre, as well as a wide
choice of restaurants, cafeterias and bars.
Bars/Dining Within the resort, guests of Hotels Cleopatra, Marco Antonio,
Julio Cesar and Sir Anthony staying on half (except buffet option) or full board
have a choice of 8 speciality restaurants for lunch and/or dinner (flexible on a
daily basis); plus, for a modest supplement, the option of dinner in the Sir
Anthony’s Windsor Restaurant, or dinner, dance and show at the Piramide
Restaurant. Guests of the Mediterranean Palace will pay a supplement to eat in
any of the other Resort restaurants. The Club House will make reservations for
guests. There is bar service by day at each of the pools and in the evenings
each hotel except the Julio Cesar has its own piano bar.
Entertainment At lunch time, live music from 13.00-15.00 in the pool area of
the Mediterranean Palace and the pool terrace of the Cleopatra, Julio Cesar and
Marco Antonio. In the evenings as well as the Piano Bars, live music for dancing
from the Lucius Martin Orchestra in the Mediterranean Palace after dinner
followed by a 30 minute live show (different each night), then the Orchestra
again until midnight. Music also in the Piramide, where guests can have a drink
and dance and, at weekends, the discotheque is open. There is a wide variety of
entertainment for adults and children including sports activities, Latin
American dance tuition, theme parties at the Beach Club and Piramide Restaurant.
Sports Tennis courts, squash, mini golf, aerobics and multi-gym. Mountain
bikes, football, volleyball and archery. For golfers, the resort has special
arrangements with 4 courses for discounts and pre-booked tee-off times.
Special Features Mare Nostrum Spa Centre with discounts for guests on health
and beauty treatments. Sea trips on the Mare Nostrum’s own glass bottomed boat
the “Lady Shelley” at special rates.
For Children Mini Clubs Willy (4 to 8 years); Sailors (9 to 12) and Surfers
(13 to 16). Playground, plus pools at the Mediterranean Palace and one next to
the Romanesque Pool. Children’s menu. Baby-sitting arranged (charge).
